Soft Serve Challenge (ソフトクリームチャレンジ) guide & tips

About this game
Soft serve comes out of the machine's nozzle. Move the cone underneath to catch it in swirls. Let go to finish; the height still standing then becomes your record.
Height alone isn't enough. A thin stack tilts and falls, and cream dispensed outside the cone spills.

Title and instructions
Swirling (2.7 cm)
Result: 6.8 cm, Kids' Size
How to play
- Start
Press the screen to start dispensing cream. On PC, it flows only while you hold Space. - Swirl
Keep pressing and move your finger; the cone moves in the same direction. Moving up the screen sends it farther away, and moving down brings it closer. On PC, use arrow keys or WASD. - Let go to finish
Above 3.5 cm, a message tells you to release to finish. Let go of the screen or Space, then wait about 1.2 seconds. If it stays standing, it's finished. It can still fall after you let go. - See your result
The result shows your height and title. Share it on X, save the result image or play again right away.
Titles and heights
Height is measured from the cone's rim to the top, in 0.1 cm increments. Your height determines your title.
| Height | Title |
|---|---|
| Up to 8 cm | Kids' Size |
| Over 8 cm, up to 15 cm | Regular |
| Over 15 cm, up to 25 cm | Large |
| Over 25 cm, up to 40 cm | Extra Large |
| Over 40 cm, up to 60 cm | Local Specialty |
| Over 60 cm, up to 80 cm | Legend |
| Over 80 cm, under 100 cm | Masterpiece |
| 100 cm or more | To the Sky |
If it falls while you're swirling, the result is “Collapsed…” If it falls outside the cone, it's “Spilled…” Neither updates your personal best.
Tips
- ★ Start with a wide base
- Each layer stands on the cream below it. Spread the first few circles across the cone so they can support a taller stack.
- ★ Keep moving
- Dispensing without moving makes a thin column that soon falls. Keep drawing small circles.
- ★ Don't move too far out
- The cone can move quite a lot, but cream only lands safely inside the rim or on the cream already there. Move too close to the edge and it falls outside and spills.
- ★ Add cream on the side opposite the lean
- A reddish height number at the top is a warning. Adding cream opposite the lean brings the weight back into balance.
- ★ Let go early
- The game keeps checking for a collapse for 1.2 seconds after you let go. Waiting until it wobbles is often too late, so release while there's still a little room for error.
Common questions
- Q. I made a tall cone, but my best didn't change
- A. Collapses and spills don't count as records. Even a finished cone must beat your previous best to show a new-best message.
- Q. I let go by accident. Can I continue that cone?
- A. Letting go ends that attempt. Press the play-again button to start a new one.
- Q. Where are my records saved?
- A. Your personal best and number of plays are saved in your browser. Clearing browser data resets them to zero.
- Q. There's no sound
- A. The speaker button at the top right toggles sound. The muted setting is remembered next time you open the game.
